I'm working on this e-democracy box for Mysociety as part of their volunteer projects process . It currently shows a list of Pledges from my area and some of my local mp's activity.

The box is fetched by as an included javascript which is actually a cgi script that fetches rss feeds then outputs them as javascript code which writes the html which you see in the box. oh and it drags in a css file and some images as well .

this is just the beginning , i'm planning on building a whole api for mysociety sites which will enable the embedding of all kinds of data in your site.
