The naughty technical bit
The encryption system used to provide DRM for HD-DVD disks has
been leaked to the internet .This key , if set as the volume id for any HD-DVD disc will apparently bypass all DRM and play happily.

Unless you are daft enough to request an update of your encryption keys , which would
be a really daft thing to do
The ludicrous legal bit
TheAACSLA threatend several sites with takedown orders for hosting this number. The result ? it became the new DeCSS and spawned millions of pages like this.
The AACSLA then tried to stop Digg from mentioning it , they initialy complied with this
and then a massive revolt amongst its users forced the code back on to the page by
sheer weight of numbers. Digg then capitulated
and then rather admirably vowed to go down fighting ! so help rub more poo in the AACSLA's face by posting the code on your blog and digg'ing blogs that do.
